I swayed from making the regular Green Bean Casserole to trying this one with the Cheese Whiz for a change in flavor and I loved it along with my family at a reunion. However, one thing I do differently in both casseroles is to use canned green beans instead of the frozen green beans. We like it ten times better that way.

Made this recipe for Christmas with my inlaws. Was not very good. Was very embarrasing and I will definitely not make this again.

This was delicious but our family prefers to include 2 T. of chili pwd. to the casserole - really gives it a unique taste!

For the person who's green beans were still hard, did you thaw them? I've made this several times and it always comes out great!

I have never heard of cheese in the green bean casserole and I don't know that I'd like it. One thing I love in my green bean casseroles is bacon. Just cook it right in your casserole dish in the microwave, drain the grease, then add your beans and cream of mushroom soup and stir it all up. I am not a big fan of the onions on the top, either, but I know to a lot of people those are essential. Give the bacon a try. It gives the beans a great flavor.
