I made for my sister yesterday. She said eww when she saw it but then I made her taste it and she said that was one of the best sandwiches she ever tasted.

My 6 year old thinks this is the best sandwich mommy has ever made. I've been asked by his school how to make it and passed on the recipe and this web site. The nursery/kindergarten program now regularly uses this recipe for snack time. I use the syrup as a dip instead of pouring it straight on. It reminds me of a McGriddle without the egg, from McDonald's, only healthier and cheaper. VERY DELICIOUS!!!

This was tasty. I did modify it a bit. I added a slice of turkey bacon. I toasted it after putting it together to melt the cheese and heat the apples. Very tasty.

Okay, I didn't actually try this, but I made it for my son to take to school and he said he ate it all and didn't even take the apples off. This from a boy that doesn't like to try things that normally don't go together. I put the syrup on there and later when I mentioned that he said there wasn't syrup on it. I think the flavors just worked and he didn't realize where the sweetness came from.
