I tweaked the recipe just a bit when I made it, and my family absolutely LOVED it! :) 1. used authentic Irish Cheddar in place of the sharp cheddar - fab flavor! much more rich 2. doubled amount of chives 3. used an entire pound of bacon - everyone loves bacon! :) 4. added a tablespoon of garlic powder. could also add fresh, chopped garlic, I just didn't happen to have any on hand. 5. substituted whole wheat flour for white. gave a wonderful flavor will most certainly make these again and again!

Delicious and very easy to make. I'm not a baker, and even *I* didn't mess these up. Great flavor and excellent texture.

These were great for a simple brunch. I served them along with fresh fruit, coffee, and juice. Delicious.

HUGE hit in my family. They were gone within minutes. I didn't put the bacon in so I think that's why they were so good.

I added a little minced onion and chopped jalapeno pepper. Gave it that extra punch!! Great!!

I made these the other day. My husband and son are very picky eaters. but they both enjoyed the scones..........I promised to make them again with potato soup or beef stew.

Sort of bland. The only thing I was impressed with was the way they looked. I just wish they had tasted just as good. It was nice to get the basics of making scones though.
