These are reminiscent of a Latvian favorite, bacon rolls called Pirags. I am so happy to have found this recipe. I will definitely make it again.

This came out great. What I did to make it more of an appetizer was to cut slices about a half inch to 3/4 of an inch thick so that it served more guests in smaller portions. Rather than getting only 4 out of a roll as the recipe directs you to do, I got about 10 - 12 servings and didn't even need to adjust the cooking time. Delicious and would definitely make it again.

this is sooooo goooood! I have made them 3 times since I first saw this recipe about a month ago. I just roll them up as a crescent roll. Next, I am going to put the bacon onion mixture in some chicken tenders and roll them up and roll in bread crumbs and bake. They should be so good too. Oh, I also put some shredded mozzarella cheese in the crescent rolls. You gotta try this recipe.
