Im a northern living in the south, I married a southern man, who comes from a southern old school family. No one thought I was going to be able to make a pecan pie & it come out right. Not only did I make one, but I ended up making 8. durning the Christmas season. Its a easy to make pie with this recipe. My ten year old goddaughter made on her self. It was soo good, I even had a piece ((even though I dislike pecans.)) I will make it again next Christmas. It was a big hit

I never of using maple syrup in a pie recipe so I didn't know what to expect. It was FANTASTIC. My whole family loved it. I will diffently make it again. One thing though, and this may have been common sense to most. I was going to put the pie in the oven without a baking sheet underneath (the instructions doesn't mention to use a baking sheet). A friend told me that I should put the pie on a baking sheet anyway. I am glad I did. A little bit of the pie was spilling out as it was baking. Other then that it was great!

Yum Yum...It was a great Pecan Pie! Perfect sweetness, perfect amount of pecans. I use dark Karo Syrup instead.

I prefer my pecan pie to have a lot more pecans then the sauce. Next time I would double the pecans. Oh, and using maple syrup gave it a wonderful flavor.
