Very easy to make. Family loved it for the holiday. I didn't care for the cream cheese frosting. It was easy to work with and make, but was a bit bitter for my liking. I added vanilla for more flavor. May use more powder sugar next time as well. But over all was a family hit.

I like it with the variation of using cream cheese icing because the top layer always has a tendency to slide on me when I use cool whip

This cake is absolutely delicious and looks GREAT for any "color themed" occasion. I just made it for fourth of july after having made the christmas cake, and it was a HIT! There was not ONE piece left over. I did use the cream cheese frosting and decorated the top with fruits. YUMMY!

I like this decritive, patriotoc dessert. I think with a little more flavor such as vanilla extract or on the holidays almond extract this will be SUPERB! thank you very much for sharing this recipe with me. I made this recipe last 4th of July and EVERYBODY loved it! It was very easy and tasted great. I made it with the Cream Cheese frosting and I think that was much better. I am definitely making it again this year...YUM!

I was so nervous when I was pouring all the jello mix onto the cake, but it soaked right in and after refridgerating over night it was delicious. I used just strawberry jello and topped the cake off with fresh straberries. Everyone loved it and wanted more.

I don't know what I did wrong, but I tried this with a homemade cake recipe using the jell-o. The cake had wonderful flavor but so moist it was almost soggy. I will try again but next time I will just use one box of jell-0 for 2 layers.
