What You Need

pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

1/2

cup sugar

1/2

tsp. vanilla

eggs

NILLA Wafers

1-1/2

cups BAKER'S ANGEL FLAKE Coconut, tinted green

small jelly beans

pieces shoestring licorice (4 inch each)

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

BEAT cream cheese, sugar and vanilla with mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add eggs; beat just until blended.

PLACE wafer on bottom of each of 12 paper-lined muffin cups. Spoon cream cheese mixture evenly over wafers.

BAKE 20 min. or until centers are almost set. Cool. Refrigerate at least 2 hours. Top evenly with coconut and jelly beans just before serving. Bend each licorice piece, then insert both ends into each cheesecake to resemble the handle of a basket. Keep refrigerated.

How to Tint Coconut

Place coconut and a few drops green food coloring in small resealable plastic bag. Seal bag. Shake bag gently until coconut is evenly tinted.

Variation

Omit NILLA Wafers. Prepare as directed, pouring batter evenly into 12 ready-to-use single-serve graham cracker crumb crusts.

I made them and took them to our family Easter dinner -- They were a BIG HIT!! Everyone LOVED them and wanted the recipe!! I only wished that I could have said that the recipe was all my idea, but since I could not lie, I told them where I got it! Everyone enjoyed them and made a big fuss over them!

This was super easy to make. I'm not a baker but this was so simple and not to mention delicious!! I made it Easter Sunday using Splenda Baking sugar & everyone @ home loved it~

I really liked the ease of this recipe and it was adorable (although I couldn't get my licorice to stand up like the picture). I think next time I will try to top it with fresh berries. Overall, this recipe was very yummy and so simple!

I made this recipe for the first time this Easter 3/27/05, and it was a hit. My kids loved it. At first I wasn't sure about the coconut, but my family and friends assured me that the coconut did not affect the taste of the cheesecake. I did however made a few adjustments to the cheesecake recipe, by adding a few tablespoons of pineapple juice and 1/2 cup of crushed pineapple to the cheesecake mixture. It was truly delicious!! Thanks Kraft!

very very good. i used the individual graham cracker crusts and they were perfect. everyone loved them and thought they were just adorable. you can even decorate them differently to use for all types of occasions. i will definitely make these again!!!

These are very good and easy. I would take them out of the refrigerator a 1/2 hour before serving. They taste better not real cold. I will make them again.

Very easy recipe. My 9 year old helped me it was that easy. I made two batches and everyone loved them.

I actually have mine in the oven baking this moment. I have an odd family- they don't like cream cheese and they don't like coconut, so I am using the idea and making them into yellow cupcakes and I tinted icing green, for the grass... I'm still using the jelly beans and the licorice. I think it's going to be a big hit... they are so precious looking! Thanks for the idea!

This was a great recipe , Fun to make, I just had a hard time w/ the handles , The licorice went limp, & that was pretty much the only problem, It took a little longer to bake than 20 min. as well, but that was no biggy, Other than the handles it was a great recipe... I will definitly make them again...
