The syrup was really difficult. I read some of the reviews and didn't see much help in this department. I have an electric stove. So I set it to #5 and my sugar started to get rocky...but kept stirring! Stirred till it was a liquid. And still noticed how thick it was. So I put in a little bit of water. It thinned right up and dark. So I poured it in my ceramic pie plate. Then it got sticky. not hard but sticky. Then made my mixture and poured on top. And thats where Im at. other than the sugar its easy. Oh! And I used light cream. Instead of condense milk or evaporated milk. I will try to make again.
I followed the recipe as it is. Perfect! from taste to texture. now I don't have to "ask" for a slice to take home whenever I attend parties :)
Made it for the first time. A total success!! Enjoyed by the whole family.
Love it!!! Perfect
A little too heavy and I didn't like the strong evaporated milk taste. Will make again using 4 oz of cream cheese and replace the evaporated milk with half-and-half. Also, a bit too sweet. Will reduce the sugar in the mixture.
This is a no-fail recipe. Just absolutely delicious!!!!
There is a serious flaw somewhere in this recipe. The custard part taste great but the carmel sauce was rock hard and stuck to the bottom of the dish. I followed the recipe exactly and the sauce hardened within seconds of pouring on bottom of dish.
three weeks ago, its very simple and had all the ingredients at home, must try whn in a mood for something sweet this summer
This Cream Cheese Flan was AMAZING, I have made it twice this week because as soon as I made the first one, two days later there was no more! my whole family said it was the best flan they have had, and honestly to me not only was it delicious but it was easy to make and I am all about easy! =]
