i have made this recipe many times, but MUST make it with fresh sweet potatoes. 4-5 large are good and taste to make sure it has enough spices and brown sugar before adding layers.
I have always loved sweet potatoes, for the holidays. This gives me a great reason to use them for any meal. I now make the recipe in 2 pans & freeze one for later. I also took it to a "pot luck" & it was the hit of the "new food" Thanks again
Made this a week before Christmas for my immediate family and they said I have to make it for Christmas. At Christmas my niece said this is the "new dish" for all family gatherings! Everyone liked it and I have made it many times since Christmas including today for a Birthday party. Have given the recipe to many family members and friends. Use dried sweetened cranberries instead of fresh ones. Thanks for sending these tasty recipes - keep them coming!
Very good and colorful with the cranberries. I actually made it for Thanksgiving in a crockpot to save oven space and it turned out great. My aunt asked for the recipe. Will make it again.
I made the Sweet Potato Crisp for Thanksgiving. It was such a great hit that I made it again for Christmas dinner. It can be prepared the day before. I shared the recipe with many people. This will be my new traditional signature dish for all holiday meals. Thanks Kraft Foods!
This recipe came out great! My sis-in-law is not a big fan of sweet potatos, but she went for seconds with this dish! I do recommend.
This was such a huge hit at Thanksgiving, that I made it for my Christmas get together. Everyone wanted the recipe, even people that do not like sweet potatoes. I highly recommend this easy recipe! I put it together the day before as well - this really saves time.
I made this recipe for Thanksgiving and it was easy to make and everyone loved it! (I made it ahead the day before which helped save time!)
I made this for my family gathering on Thanksgiving and it was the 1st thing gone! Everyone kept commenting on how good it was and how the cranberries made for a yummy twist. I am not a big fan of cranberries, but I am now! Excellent recipe, and I have already had several request to make it again for Christmas dinner!
I have made this recipe twice in two weeks and plan on making it again for Christmas. It is fabulous--sweet, tart, tangy, crunchy, smooth all at the same time. I had several requests to make this for work. When I brought it in to work, we convinced one of the girls to try a bit even though she does not like sweet potatoes. After one bite she called her mom and said, "Mom, you've *got* to make this!" I absolutely love it and have since addicted several others. I did change the recipe just a bit, however. I did not have canned yams so I just used a couple sweet potatoes I had already purchased. It turned out great. It makes for a longer prep time but SO worth it.
