I remember this recipe from when I was little! We learned it in girl scouts and used either peanut butter or cream cheese (both are really good)! Kids love the story behind the meal!

My son was so amazed with this, he took some to show and tell, and told a story about the ants, and how they got stuck on the log. Then he gave everybody one to try. It was great, and a big hit. Everybody waned more. @@@

This is wonderful, my daughter is allergic to peanuts so it was nice to find an allternative for Ants on a Log! It's also good with dried cranberries or mini chocolate chips.

my daughter loved it,she said the teacher had made it for snack time once but she liked cheesecake flavor better

For an even healthier snack, use plain cream cheese (the flavored cream cheeses have more carbs, sugars...). Alltogether a terrific one for little kids (just what I look for!) and enjoyable. Quick and easy I recommend it!

even better made with peanut butter than with the cream cheese. also, use apricots instead of raisins
