Couldn't have been any easier to make or taste any better when done. I made two of these for a church dinner and they were inhaled by all the true chocaholics. Terrific recipe, this is definitely a keeper.

This is in reply to the comment about using foil to cover the bottom and sides of the pan before placing it in the water bath - she/he is right - I had learned this trick from a cooking class. By doing this, it helps keep the water out and the batter from leaking out of the pan.

A friend served this cake to us long ago. She had a problem though. The cake fell (it should have been about 4"tall, but was about 1 1/2". We had a great laugh, because she called it "Goofed Mousse Pie". These have a way of falling, and this is a good way to salvage your pride. I haven't made the cake but plan to.

Oh so good! My chocolate loves want me to make another, it disapeared so fast! Make sure you do line your springform pan if it leaks, otherwise dont stress over it! Ours came out really good!

Great recipe. It does not deserve the 1 star given it it by the comsumer below. She should wrap the outside of her leaky springform pan with foil before filling with batter and baking in the water bath.

this recipe looked good, but i would never use a springform pan again when making this cake. the water from the water bath leaked into the cake and it came out mushy about half way through. i am very disappointed with this recipe- it was supposed to be for a dinner party and now i have to start over.

This cake is excellent if you like rich, deep chocolate cake. Small slices work the best.

Very smooth mousse with rich flavor. I baked it 10 minutes longer than recommended, and it seemed to need it. Just a little bit is very filling.
