I have a homeland family recipe that has adds lemon zest, sugar and allspice for fuller flavor. This tea recipe is good but could use more spice for my taste. I'd also recommend using real tea leaves if you're not into instant tea. To me, instant tea is an acquired taste. Whether you prefer my tweaking or the recipe here, either way is good to help comfort and ease a head cold.

I use to make this for my little ones when they were small and wanted to make it for my grandchild but had misplaced the recipe. Thanks for listing it. Now another generation (3rd) will get to enjoy it.

My mom would make this recipe when I was little. I always loved the smell of it. She lost the recipe and I'm so glad I have now found it again.
