Woowie!!! This is good stuff. I also tweaked the recipe - I added the jalapeno and the cajun seasoning. I also put the tomatoes thru the food processor and it maybe added a little thickness. Super good and easy! Better than the jumbo I made last time and will make it again.

Not as good as "real" gumbo that's cooked with a roux and simmered for hours, but it's a good substitute when you're short on time.

I made this recipe for my collegues at work, and they loved it! I substituted andouille sausage to give it a more "cajun" feel. It was great!

Easy and fast. I made it once with okra and once without. Second time, I used jasmine rice. Very good either way.

I have made this twice, and the family loves it. We don't use turkey sausage in our home so I used Value Village sweet italian, sliced 1/2 inch thick. Second time I used some leftover Smoked Ham with the shrimp, and added a teaspone of cajin seasnoning, with french bread this is a first class quick meal. thanks

The time for cooking a rou isn't long enough the rou is supposed to be darker. It tasted more like a soup than a Gumbo
