We used fresh green beans and zucchini, and frozen broccoli floweretts and pepper strips. We also added red onion when we browned the chicken. We thought it needed to cook longer than 5 min., and we also thickened it with cornstarch. It was truly a taste treat. We will definitely make this soup again!

Very good and very easy - made it tonight for dinner. I used carrots, celery and noodles like a traditional soup. Entire family loved it.

Great soup! Next time I would make a double batch as well as add twice as much rice.

I added a can of green chiles drained and instead of the rice some tortilla strips and it made a delicious chicken tortilla soup. Served with some corn bread it was a definite keeper.

This recipe was good, for me it is even better when you replace the rice with Spaetzle. Which is a German style egg noodle that has the texture of a dumpling.

This soup is out of this world, my family are soup lovers. And what I like about it is I can add any type of vegetables that I want to and no matter what kind the soup is still heavenly. Thanks!!

MMM Yummy. I made this on a VERY COLD January day. I had is cooking in the crockpot all day. When supper time approached, I made some NO YOLKS noodles and added them to the crockpot, and cooked for another 15 minutes. I served with homemade bread made in the Bread Maker, and a fresh garden salad. Boy did my hubby ever love it!!!
