It's a celebration—cake is expected. What'll throw ’em for a loop is the ribbons of color and flavor that run through the delectable treat you set on the table.

Everyone loves this recipe! It's sooooo easy to make. I work the kitchen for our VFW during bingo and bring this with to sell as a fundraiser. It goes like hot cakes and they come back looking for more.
I use 2 small boxes of strawberry jello with 2 cups of boiling water. Once it cools, I prepare 2 boxes of vanilla instant pudding according to the box directions and pour over top. Refrigerate to set pudding before adding the cool whip. AMAZING! Always gets rave reviews!
very easy and very delicious. my grown kids loved it and it was gone in a day and they want me to make it again, now! GREAT.
I have made this type of cake many times over the years and it is always received well. It is light, cool and refreshing. Adults and children love this easy to make cake.
Excellent dessert, a must try
The Kids love the fact that there is Jello in the cake and love making the holes to pour the jello into! I have tried it with all kinds of different flavors of cake and jello, all are excellent!
I've made this cake at least 100 times over the years and I always get rave reviews. It's so simple, light and refreshing. Great for summer entertaining. I use the handle of a wooden spoon to make larger holes for the gelatin to soak in. Any flavor of gelatin is good, but I usually use strawberry, cherry or lemon.
I made 8 of these for my neice's graduation party. She doesn't like the super sweet buttercream frosting. What a hit!! We ended up with 3 pieces left! What a great alternative and very refresthing!
I love this recipe for summer and 4th of July, I use 1/2 box of strawberry and 1/2 of the mixed "blue" jello. I make both jellos seperately and pour one on and place in the fridge to set for 15 mins. I then apply the 2nd color. Before I serve the cake after I have applied the Cool Whip I ever so lightly sprinkle a little of the remaining jello powder on top, it gives it a "fireworks" look.
with nearly endless variety by combining different flavors of cake mixes with a complimentary flavor of jello, you can't go wrong! EASY + DELECIOUS!
