Trying to cut the fat in our diet has made dessert difficult, this is a great solution for a low fat dessert. I used a white cake mix and substituted unsweetened applesauce for the oil, and three whole eggs, 1 cup of water, works great although it takes a little longer to mix the ingredients. After the cake was cooled 15 minutes I poked holes with the handle of a wooden spoon. I used strawberry jello but the combinations like previous reviewers said are endless. No whipped cream just fresh strawberries to top. Yummy.

This is real easy to make - great for times when you need something in a hurry! I use sugar-free jell-o (black cherry is my favorite) and sugar-free Cool Whip (diabetics in the family), and it turns out wonderful.

I vary this recipe a tiny bit to make dreamsicle cake! I use orang Jello instead and reserve a bit of the powdery mix to mix in with the coolwhip! Tastes AMAZING!!!

So good and easy to make! Using Cool Whip is a nice change from regular frosting, too. A great dessert!

I made them into cupcakes and I used yellow cake and cherry jell-o. They were AMAZING. My daughter who isn't all that fond of sweets even ate them! Delicious.

Made this several times, served with fresh strawberries on top. This will be on my favorite cake list for company also. An excellent low calorie dessert and you have a serving of fruit.

My family loves this cake! My husband's not a big sweet eater but, he asks me to make this cake often. I plan on it being one of the cakes at my babys first birthday party.
