I make this cake at least three times a year. My husband like for me to make it with Rasberry gelatin. Thank you for this recipe.

My Mother used to make jello-poke cake for us as children. It was especially good during those hot days of summer. It was a great cool and refreshing dessert. She often made it in the 9x13 dish and bring it to a pot luck dinner. Thank you again:-) Mary Ellen

I wanted to make this cake for my son's class. I remember my mom making this about 20 years ago for me and my class. I am glad that you still have these classic recipes on your web site. THIS CAKE WAS A HIT WITH MY SON'S CLASS!!!

I had a cake like this 15 years ago, but it was made as a sheet cake it was yummy, thanks to this site I have the recipe now, and it is as good as I remember.
