I read all the comments and used the straw idea in lieu of the large fork and mixed vanilla pudding with cool whip. Used red and blue colored jello and the cake was a big hit with fam and friends. I'd definitely make it again. Additionally, I had help from my 2 year old buddy.

I made this cake for Christmas and it was SIMPLY FABULOUS!! My relatives could not believe their eyes when they saw this cake! It was beautiful as well as delicious. It was very easy & simple to make. Instead of using raspberries for the decoration on top of the cake, I used red and green marachino cherries along with a few leaves from spring mix salad. Next time I make this cake, I'm going to use cupcakes instead. I'm going to make a cupcake for each one of my relatives by using a different color Jello.

I made this recipe for my family and in-laws this Christmas and they all loved it!! I used raspberry Jello for the red part. I also decorated one of the cakes with crushed candy canes and the other with pear halves (tinted green with food coloring) and red maraschino cherries to make them resemble a ringing bell. They were a hit! I think i'll make it them again next year.

Excellent cake....easy to make....delicious! I kicked up the cool whip with a pkg of instant vanilla pudding, 1 cup of milk and 1/4 cup powder sugar. It gives you a little more frosting that tastes great!

Along with the Chocolate & Peanut Butter Ribbon Dessert, I made this for my pot-luck group last week. It was a big hit! Looked wonderful, too. I crushed 2 sugar-free candy-cakes real small and sprinkled them on top of cake. Really looked very festive. Will make again.
