My whole family loves this cake. It's simple and easy and I let my nieces and nephews help make it.

I have been making this recipe for almost 25 years. It is my favorite dessert in the world! I think it is best with rasberry Jello. Also, the cake tastes its best after 2-3 days in the fridge. This really makes the flavor come out.

I love this cake. Its great and you can change colors for holidays and events. It's also not as sweet as most cakes with regular icing. Also the kids can help make it as well.

this cake was a great hit at our family gathering. add strawberries and sliced almonds to accent more.

Agree w/ earlier comment re: whipped topping between two layers. The layers slid around if you are not careful. Could this be frozen after frosted, I wonder? I might choose to use a cream cheese frosting next time between the layers to make it more sturdy.

I especially like this cake with the cool whip(fat free is what I use) because we don't care for the sweetness of frosting. The pudding in the cake makes it very moist and it is very festive. It is not a real heavy dessert. I will definitely make it again.
