Irish Beef Stew

What You Need

1-1/2

lb. boneless beef round steak, trimmed, cut into bite-size pieces

Tbsp. flour

Tbsp. oil

large onion, coarsely chopped

can (14-1/2 oz.) beef broth

can (14-1/2 oz.) stewed tomatoes, undrained

env. (0.8 oz.) GOOD SEASONS Garlic & Herb Dressing Mix

lb. red potatoes (about 3), cut into 3/4-inch chunks

carrots, cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices

cups hot cooked noodles

Make It

COAT meat with flour. Heat oil in Dutch oven or large deep skillet on medium-high heat. Add meat and onions; cook and stir 5 to 8 min. or until meat is evenly browned. Stir in broth, tomatoes and dressing mix. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally; cover. Simmer on low heat 15 min., stirring occasionally.

ADD potatoes and carrots; simmer, covered, 45 min. or until meat is tender and sauce is thickened, uncovering after 30 min. and stirring occasionally.

SERVE over noodles.

I LOVED this stew! I followed the instructions exactly except that I added the veggies after only 15 minutes. I enjoyed the noodles but I think it will be much tastier when we have the leftover stew tomorrow w/out the noodles. I like the idea of serving this with garlic toast, maybe I'll try that tomorrow. The flavor of the broth is very GOOD!

My family is so picky. It's so hard to find stuff for dinner that everybody likes. But they all loved this one. Very tasty and we all love the noodles.

My family and I loved this recipe. My son loved the noodles that go with it. It's a great Sunday night meal. I will make this one again.

This was so easy to make, but I did add a packet of the Zesty Italian salad dressing mix just to give it a little bit more flavor... This was my first experience with a stew, and I was SO happy that it turned out so well... All of my family really liked it...
