Irish Beef Stew

What You Need

1-1/2

lb. boneless beef round steak, trimmed, cut into bite-size pieces

Tbsp. flour

Tbsp. oil

large onion, coarsely chopped

can (14-1/2 oz.) beef broth

can (14-1/2 oz.) stewed tomatoes, undrained

env. (0.8 oz.) GOOD SEASONS Garlic & Herb Dressing Mix

lb. red potatoes (about 3), cut into 3/4-inch chunks

carrots, cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices

cups hot cooked noodles

Make It

COAT meat with flour. Heat oil in Dutch oven or large deep skillet on medium-high heat. Add meat and onions; cook and stir 5 to 8 min. or until meat is evenly browned. Stir in broth, tomatoes and dressing mix. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally; cover. Simmer on low heat 15 min., stirring occasionally.

ADD potatoes and carrots; simmer, covered, 45 min. or until meat is tender and sauce is thickened, uncovering after 30 min. and stirring occasionally.

SERVE over noodles.

Really good and easy to make, adding celery might add a nice crunch to it or maybe cabbage to make it a little more irish

My family loved this! My local supermarket did not have the Good Seasons mix so I just used some garlic & herb seasoning mix plus a little salt to taste and it turned out wondeful. It will definitely be a dinner often requested in our house now!

My husband loved it. I wish the potatoes held more flavor but it was still very good. Perfect cooking time for the carrots & potatoes.

Just wonderful!!! Added some garlic, turned up the heat and cooked longer. My whole family loved it.

This was very easy to make and really good. The presentation is nice too. I also boiled the carrots and potatoes until somewhat softened before adding to dish. Excellent will make again.

My husband loves this recipe. He said it's the first time he went for the carrots and potatoes before the meat. I used beef stew meat. Did not use noodles. Used italian style stewed tomatoes and added alittle pepper. Great recipe :)

The meat was tender but the potatoes and carrots were still a little crunchy. It doesn't need the noodles even though it tastes good with them. Will make again but will simmer at a higher temp to make veggies softer.
