I was very dissapointed! I omitted the hot-sauce because I don't have any, but used red pepper. However, this tasted like tomato flavored rice with sausage. I suggest using a different recipe, either from this site, or many others!

I keep the ingredients in this recipe on hand so I can throw it together whenever nothing else sounds good. My children are small and I like how I can make this mild enough for them, but add Louisiana hot sauce to mine at the table to make it delicious.

How can you have Jambalaya without okra? It needs okra and shrimp at least, and double the spice.

We make this all of the time for a quick family meal! We love it and add green peppers and sometimes a bit more hot sauce for a fun little spin on the origional!

I doubled the amount of hot pepper sauce and think it still needed a little more. A good, simple Jambalaya recipe either way.

Very good and easy to make. I added a few crushed red pepper flakes and that livened it up a bit more. I will definitely make this recipe again.
