I also cut the pound cake in smaller slices and added the rasberry preserves but i also added cool whip between the slices as a filling. I made it for a backyard BBQ and it was easy to make and a big hit with everyone.

I brought this cake to a pot luck and everyone loved it. I also made a variation by slicing the pound cake in half and adding a layer of rasberry preserves.....it was delicious.

Luckilly I also made delicious brownies, otherwise no one would have haf dessert at the 4th of July pool party we went to. This cake was DISGUSTING!!!! We ended up scraping the cool whip and berries into bowls. The cake was soggy.

This is pretty easy to make, however, it does take longer than 5 minutes for the jello to reach egg white consistency, it takes more like 30 minutes...something to keep in mind if you are making this late, the night before! :)

This is one of THE best desserts I've ever made. It's light, refreshing and easy. My whole family loves it. I made it this Memorial Day as well as last July 4. It's a keeper!!
