I made this when it was first introduced and it has been a 4th of July favorite ever since. The little ones love it not only for the way it is decorated, but the taste, too!

This recipe is simple and easy. It is delicous more than you would know unless you try it. I made it at a 4th of July party I threw and everyone loved it. They stuffed themselves even more ( I remembered it late and they were already stuffed from the food). I did it without the poundcake just jello and it was WONDERFUL!!!!

This cake is always a big hit and everyone thinks it took a lot of work. But I suggest you use the alternate recipe of using strawberry jello overe the angel food cake because it holds the whole thing better together and it much easier to cut and serve.
