I have made this cake a million times. Everyone loves it and it's become my most requested cake for holidays, birthday's, parties, potlucks, you name it. Everyone wants it! It's very rich, so it goes a long way with small slices.

I've made this a few times and though it tastes great it never looks very pretty...my cool whip always melts and runs down the sides, even when I keep it in the freezer...not sure how to fix this problem. <<< From Mary, Kraft Kitchens Expert ~ Make sure cake layers are completely cooled before filling with whipped topping mixture. A warm cake can cause the filling to soften or melt. >>>

I made this cake for a family gathering and everyone enjoyed the cake. They even suggested doing it with a yellow cake mix as well. The only item I woulkd change would be more chocolate to be added to the top to have more drizzle and sauce on top.

I made this cake for Fathers day. It said to put 1/4 cup of instant coffee in with the cool whip. I did that and it didn't turn out the way I expected it to. The grounds did not disolve, it tasted too strong, and it turned brown. Luckily I had extra cool whip, so I just put plain cool whip for the center. It turned out really nice. It was a little tough to cut though. The top layer kept sliding. I give it an A+ for taste.
