First time I tried this I wasn't impressed, my sister had brought it over and she ended up leaving some behind. The next day I tried it again and was hooked, it's one of those better the next day things. I make it all the time and love the subtle sweetness. It's fabulous with fresh berries. I also like to add fresh orange zest every once in a while to change it up. Definitely worth a try.
I thought it came out perfectly. I will use this over the holidays. Easy Peasy!
I followed the directions to the T and the cake did not come out rite.The top part burned and the bottom did not finish cooking. It was not good at all a big disaster
Since I discovered this cake it is the only pound cake I will make. I have lowered the sugar to 2 1/2 cups as we felt the 3 cups was too sweet. The 2 1/2 cups makes it perfect.

I made this cake over the christmas Holiday for the first time along with another family favoriate and everyone loved it. I also served it with cool whip and fresh strawberries.
The recipe was simple to follow and I followed it step by step but my cake did not turn out very good. It tasted too floury, it wasn't sweet enough, and I did not taste the vanilla. The bake time needs to be adjusted because my cake was too dark. My family was disappointed and I ended up throwing the cake out.
