Cheesy Corn Dog Bake recipe
It's midway fare without the stick: hot dogs nestled in moist cornbread with the added attraction of cheese. Everyone’s a winner.

My five kids loveed this. We made ours in a 9x13 pan and used shredded cheddar. I topped mine with some chili and it was great. This would make a great camping meal too. We will make this again.

My kids really liked this recipe. I spread the corn bread mix into an 8X11 dish and (like another rater suggested) added 8 whole hot dogs. I think I ended up baking for approximately 35 minutes and then added shredded cheddar on top and baked an additional 5 minutes.

Instead of cutting the hotdogs length wise I think I will try and put the hot dogs in whole and kind of push them into the cornmeal. It seemed like there was more cornbread than dog.

Now this recipe was pretty darn tasty. I used a square baking dish (probably about half the size of a 13 x 9 baking dish). I am not a big fan of corn bread muffins but I loved this recipe. I was also very fast to make. I would make this again.

We used a larger pan to make the corn bread thinner, so that it wouldn't be too much in every bite. Then we drizzled it with ketchup and mustard. My husband and daughter both loved it.

I don't know if I just made it wrong or what but, this item didn't thrill either my kids or us. Just to bland maybe.

I did mine a little different: I cut the hotdogs in 1 inch pieces, I used a muffin pan instead. I put one piece of hotdog in each muffin section and poured muffin mix in each section also. Then baked. It was good finger food that way. We enjoyed it.

Made it for a sleep over, the children just loved it. I used shredded cheese on the top in place of the slices.
