I made this recipe but as others suggested I cut up the hot dogs and mixed it in with the corn bread. I also added some cheese in with the cornbread mix and then some more on top. My husband had 3rds. This has now been added in the mix as a cheap and easy mid week meal. He asks for it if I don't make it for a few weeks!

Short on time, I pre-browned my chicken in paprika & celery salt. I thought this was a nice balance of starches, veggies & protein. VERY filling and a TOTAL hit with my husband & two boys.EASY, quick(60m or less)& Yummy!

I followed the recomendation to slice the hot dogs and add them to the batter before baking as well as use shredded cheddar cheese. It was a little dry so I heated up a can of chili that was used to top each plated portion and it was a hit with the family.

The kids ate this completely up. We used cheddar slices instead of the processed cheese.

I easily doubled the recipe since there are 5 adults in our family and used a larger glass Pyrex baking dish. I took the advice of other reviewers by adding one can of creamed corn and chopped up the hotdogs into "coins" and just stirred them into the batter. As far as the cheese went, we topped it with freshly grated NY cheddar. This recipe is very simple and quick to make - perfect for picky eaters or children. It was good, but nothing amazing. 3.5 stars.

We all liked it. Tastes just like a corn dog. However, next time I will chop up the hot dogs and mix it in and add some cheddar cheese.

It was good, just like a corn dog! I also did what some of the others did and chopped up the hot dogs and baked them in the cornbread, I also added some cheese in the corn bread and some corn. Was very tasty and simple. Serve with some ketchup to add some taste.
