What You Need

pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, divided

Tbsp. butter or margarine

ready-to-use refrigerated pie crust (1/2 of 15-oz. pkg.)

eggs, beaten, divided

1/4

cup packed brown sugar

cup light corn syrup

tsp. vanilla

cups PLANTERS Pecan Halves

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

CHOP 4 oz. chocolate coarsely; set aside. Microwave remaining chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 to 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.

LINE 9-inch pie plate with crust as directed on package; brush bottom with small amount of eggs. Add remaining eggs, sugar, corn syrup and vanilla to melted chocolate; stir until well blended. Add chopped chocolate and nuts; mix well. Pour into crust.

BAKE 55 min. or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool completely.

Have made this for holidays. Loved by all! Rich and filling. I always uses less walnuts than recipe calls for. Tastes like you slaved over it - but NOT!

Didn't go over too well with the crowd I made it for. I think they wanted regular pecan pie, I thought this would be an interesting twist. I liked it pretty well though!

This is a great recipe!! I make this pie every Thanksgiving and Christmas. Everyone takes an extra piece home with them.

For chocolate lovers and pecan lovers, this is a GREAT dessert! Rather than chopping up half of the baker's chocolate I used 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, and then I only used half of the baker's chocolate package. It was so rich and yummy! I think it goes well with cool whip or vanilla ice cream.
