Pumpkin-Cream Cheese Bread

What You Need

1/2

cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

2-1/2

cups sugar

eggs

can (15 oz.) pumpkin

3-1/2

cups flour

tsp. baking soda

tsp. salt

tsp. ground cinnamon

1/2

tsp. CALUMET Baking Powder

1/4

tsp. ground cloves

cup PLANTERS Pecan Pieces

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F. Beat butter, cream cheese and sugar in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing well after each addition. Blend in pumpkin. Gradually add combined dry ingredients, mixing after each addition just until moistened. Stir in nuts.

POUR into 2 greased and floured 9x5-inch loaf pans.

BAKE 55 min.or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean. Cool 5 min.; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely.

Bake bread as directed; cool completely. Wrap securely in plastic wrap. Freeze up to 1 month. Thaw, wrapped, at room temperature for 12 hours.

This bread is delicious! I thought the cream cheese in the batter was a little unusal but decided to try it anyway - and I'm so glad I did! I highly recommend this recipe!

This recipe was great, and just in time for Halloween and Thanksgiving!! It was moist, but I barely got any-everybody ate it up right away!!!!

This is a very moist recipe...excellent blend of spice and pumpkin...not bland like so many recipes I've tried for this. I recommend topping it with a light vanilla glaze made of powdered sugar, vanilla and milk. My co-worker's flipped over it!

Made into small loafs for friends and everyone love it. I have asked for the recipe and also to make more. I wish it had the nutritional values do some of the other recipes.

I love this bread! My family cant wait for the holidays to try the pumpkin cheese bread that is when I most often make it. Its such a homemade recipe!
