My family loves this recipe. I like that I can make two loaves at the same time. I have a pan that makes 8 mini loaves about 4 x 3 each. I was wondering if I could make this recipe in that pan and if so how to convert the cooking time.

I substituted Splenda for one of the cups of sugar and whole wheat flour for one of the cups of flour to make it a bit healthier and no one even noticed. My husband came home from work while it was cooking and said he smelled it when he was still in the garage in his car and hoped it was coming from our house and not the neighbors! This was great all by itself warm out of the oven, but it's also great cold from the fridge with butter on it. I think a glaze or frosting would ruin it. Some raisins or cranberries would probably be good though. I might try that next time. This is a great recipe for novices. I've only tried to make homemade bread one other time in my life, banana bread, and it turned out terrible. This one is so easy, my 6 year old could make it. In fact, I may just let my kids make it themselves and give loaves as gifts to their teachers.

I love this bread. I tried making it as cupcakes for a gathering, and they did not go over very well. You have to cook them for quite a while to get them cooked all the way through. By that time, they are really dry.

Absolutely delicious! My first time making homemade bread. It was so simple and turned out so tasty! I did add a little pumpkin pie spice as someone suggested, and it turned out wonerfully. I highly reccomend!

This was so good! I would definetly make it again. I brought it to work and everyone loved it. I made some spiced cream cheese frosting for it and I also put in some mini chocolate chips too. Wonderful recipe!

It's moist but not much flavor...too mild for my husband and I. Maybe add more spices like pumpkin spice, additional cinnamon and cloves.

I have made this recipe MANY times. I mostly make it as cupcakes or mini cupcakes and frost them with canned cream cheese frosting. It's always a hit!
