My husband and I get tired of having the same things all the time for dinner. We both love pasta with red sauce, but there are only so many options. This recipe was a welcome twist on an old favorite to spice up our dinner menu! I made it the first time and my husband kept looking at it like I was crazy, but in the end, he took the leftovers to work the next day and asked me to make it again a few weeks later.

I have made this 2 ways the way stated and a vegetarian style. I substituted a 10oz frozen box of spinach dethawed & drained and added it to the ricotta mixture, spread as directed and my veggie friends loved it!!!! this is really a great recipe

I did not put steak sauce. Also didn't use ricotta, replace with cottage cheese and a little mozzerella. Was very good.

THIS LASAGNA WAS TERRIFFIC I DID NOT USE THE A1 SAUCE AND IN MY RICOTTA CHEESE MIXTURE I USED RICOTTA, PARM., MOZZERELLA, AND SALT AND PEPPER. I ALSO USED 1/2 LB GROUND MEAT AND 1/2 LB GROUND TURKEY I ALSO USED SALT PEPPER AND GARLIC POWDER AS A MEAT SEAS0NING MAKE SURE NOT TO ROLL THE NOODLES TO TIGHT OR PUT TO MUCH CHEESE AND MEAT ON THEM

I would make this recipe again but I think I would leave out the A1 sauce, I just think it gave the filling a weird flavor that you wouldn't expect it a pasta dish. Make sure you use a good flavorful sauce or it tends to be quite bland or add extra spices like basil.
