I made this recipe today and it tasted really good, I put in the 1 1/2 cup of cool whip but I think I will add the whole tub next time to make it a bit more creamy, also adding coconut does make it taste good as others suggested, I just left out the peacans and it still tasted awesome. I will make this again

I have made this several times for us at home and enjoy it. I've also made for carry in dinners and it has been a big hit. Keep up the good work with suppling us with your wonderful recipes and magazine.

I have been making this recipe for years and everyone loves it! But give it a bit more of an Hawaiian flare and add flaked coconut to my recipe.

My grandmother made this often when I was a girl. She left me her recipe box, and most recipes didn't include quantities or directions. I was thrilled to see this on your site. Thanks!

My family has been making Watergate Salad since the 70's. It has always been a favorite. It is a very light refreshing dessert to enjoy any time of the year. Thanks for making it available on your site so I can save it in my recipe box.

My Grandmother made this for Every family Cook-put and Hoilday Celebration, When she died, I found an original copy of this recipe in her 1949 Better homes and Gardens Cookbook. Of corse the original calls for fresh whipped cream rather than cool whip, but it's still my favorite family dish.

I made this for a group of friends. It was a huge success, after they got past the green color! It’s very good as is, but I added a small can of mandarin oranges, drained. It was so good I am making it again tomorrow!
