This was soooo quick and easy to make. My husband, who usually does not eat this type of food, indulged in it as well. I will definitely be making this again. Also, what a great potluck item.

You can't go wrong with this cool and tasty dessert!!*SMILE* I love watergate salad especially during the spring and summer months, it is ALWAYS the FIRST dessert to go.Whether it is a picnic or a family dinner, people will lick the bowl clean. Some people choose to leave the pecans out and add cottage cheese to this salad, but it is up to you and your own personal preferences and taste. I usually make this salad without the pecans, because I think it makes the salad taste better.*SMILE*

Wonderful taste. Added crushed pistachio to the top for decoration. Was surprised at well it held together - didn't separate or turn runny, even after 24 hours.

I started making this recipe when I was a teenager and now my teenage kids want it for the holidays. I have added manderin oranges in the past and this year am going to try it with cherries for added color and flavor. This is definately a tried and true favorite.

Nice taste and texture & so easy to make! Am wondering if adding some maraschino cherries on top and/or lightly folded in before serving might be a nice touch for a Christmas dessert?
