I have used this recipe for at least 25 years - it's fantastic and always gets raves when served!

I have made this salad/dessert for years and it's always a hit. Try using fruit cocktail, mandarin oranges, colored marshmallows, maraschino cherries and green food coloring for the holidays gives this a more festive look. I use sugar free pudding, unsweetened pineapple and fat free Cool Whip.

Great Recipe! Simple to make and tastes great. Compliments from even the pickiest of eaters. My husband especially, has refused to eat any of Salads of this type for over 16 years. Finally , he loves Water Gate Salad, he even took one fourth of the recipe to work and introduced another former picky eater to it. Cudo's all around , recipes too!! Thanks

This is such a great tasting and easy to make recipe. Because it's green, it's good to prepare for Christmas, Easter, and St. Patrick's Day! I make it a lot for summer barbecues because it's versatile as a side dish or a dessert!

I have found that little childern will not eat it if it has coconut in it. So I don't put it in or nuts they pick them out. They do love mandrin oranges in it. Sometimes I put in a sweet apple cut up into little squares. We all eat it very well. My mother-inlaw gave me this recipe many years ago I do make it often.

This is a great receipe to use during holidays, especially Easter. Everyone enjoys this salad and always asks for it again & again.
