THIS IS TRUELY A CLASSIC RECIPE! I first made this recipe over 25 years ago and every potluck and family gathering loves it. Now that we have Fat-Free Cool Whip...getting better all the time.

Super delicious, light, and sweet dessert salad. I used the 'lite' cool whip.

I have made this salad/dessert for years and it's always a hit. Try using fruit cocktail, mandarin oranges, colored marshmallows, maraschino cherries and green food coloring for the holidays gives this a more festive look. I use sugar free pudding, unsweetened pineapple and fat free Cool Whip.

Great Recipe! Simple to make and tastes great. Compliments from even the pickiest of eaters. My husband especially, has refused to eat any of Salads of this type for over 16 years. Finally , he loves Water Gate Salad, he even took one fourth of the recipe to work and introduced another former picky eater to it. Cudo's all around , recipes too!! Thanks

This is such a great tasting and easy to make recipe. Because it's green, it's good to prepare for Christmas, Easter, and St. Patrick's Day! I make it a lot for summer barbecues because it's versatile as a side dish or a dessert!
