Cheese & Bacon Jalapeno Rellenos

What You Need

oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

cup KRAFT Mexican Style Shredded Four Cheese with a TOUCH OF PHILADELPHIA

slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, cooked, crumbled

Tbsp. finely chopped onions

Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro

clove garlic, minced

jalapeño peppers, cut lengthwise in half, seeds and membranes removed

Make It

HEAT oven to 375°F.

COMBINE all ingredients except peppers; spoon into peppers.

PLACE, filled-sides up, on baking sheet.

BAKE 10 min. or until cheese is melted.

Substitute

Substitute 3 large red, yellow or green bell peppers, each cut into 6 triangles, for the jalapeno pepper halves. Top with cheese mixture before baking as directed.

Substitute

Prepare using KRAFT Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese or KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese.

These were very easy and not very hot. I would maybe chop up one of the jalepeños into the cream cheese to add spice.

Good appetizer. My husband would have liked more spice. Next time I will leave some jalapeno seeds.

I made stuffed jalapeno peppers before but I used cream cheese with chives and wrapped half a slice of bacon around the pepper.They are a hit!!! Everyone loved them!!!!

I made these today for snacks while we were putting up our Halloween decorations. I used the long green chiles so they had a kick to them as well, but the inside flavors were teriffic.I will make these again for guest who like it spicy!!
