Very easy, inexpensive cake recipe. Great for a not too sweet snack. I like to use spice cake mix and butterscotch pudding. Great for fall. Mix and match your favorite cake and pudding flavors. Best eaten with a spoon. A lot of holes are better than fewer.

This was very good. My whole family loved it. Even my Grandparents thought this was a store-bought cake. I will try this again, this time using the low-cal/fat mix recommendations on the cake mix box.

This cake is a great alternative to cakes with too sweet frostings. I made this as part of my boyfriend's birthday meal, and he liked it. He has a sweet tooth, but said the pudding was good even though it's fat free AND sugar free (you can't tell at all). He also said it's good for breakfast! ;) A very easy and inexpensive cake to make...perfect for summer!

I made a Red Velvet Cake with vanilla pudding and cream cheese frosting. I poked the holes in the cake as soon as it came out of the oven, put the vanilla pudding in the holes and then I put the cream cheese icing on the cake when it cooled down. I took it to a meeting and I didn't have any leftovers to take home. (smiling)

I thought this recipe was extemely easy and it tasted wonderful. I just made the cake with the box's directions (using egg whites) and then took the advice of putting cool whip on top. Everyone loved it. I think that next time I will try a different flavor pudding just for fun.

Cake was moist and delicious! It was a little messy to serve, but definitely tasted good!
