White Chocolate Blonde Brownies

In place of dark chocolate, these homemade brownies are flavored with vanilla, pecans and brown sugar and are laced with white chocolate chunks.

What You Need

1/3

cup butter or margarine, softened

1/2

cup firmly packed brown sugar

eggs

tsp. vanilla

cup flour

1/2

tsp. CALUMET Baking Powder

1/4

tsp. salt

squares BAKER'S White Chocolate, chopped

1/2

cup PLANTERS Chopped Pecans

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Line 9-inch square baking pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan. Grease foil.

BEAT butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and salt; mix well. Stir in chocolate and pecans. Spread into prepared pan.

BAKE 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan. Lift brownies from pan, using foil handles. Cut into 16 squares to serve.

This recipe needs sugar added in with the dry ingredients. It was dull, except for the occasional taste of the white chocolate chunks. My entire family spit it out in the trash! Not good!

haha i made these and substituted APPLESAUCE for butter... you wouldn't believe the results.. they came out tasting like carrot cake! but they still tasted good but i think next time ill use butter instead
