Easy Beef Stew

What You Need

lb. beef for stew, cut into 1-inch cubes

cups beef broth

cups diagonally sliced carrots

cups diagonally sliced celery

cups quartered onions

cups cubed peeled potatoes

Tbsp. MINUTE Tapioca

1/4

tsp. ground marjoram

1/4

tsp. pepper

1/4

tsp. ground thyme

bay leaf

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 300°F. Mix all ingredients in large casserole dish; cover.

BAKE 2-1/2 to 3 hours or until meat and vegetables are tender, stirring after each hour.

REMOVE and discard bay leaf.

How to Thicken the Gravy

For a thicker gravy, add 1/4 cup MINUTE Tapioca to the ingredients in casserole dish before baking.

Big Hit! Made this when we were having friends over, I was nervous because it was my first try at it, but it was fantastic! ...and it was ALL gone! =) Deffinately made it into my recipe box and will make again soon! *I did add more tapioca than the recipe lists, just to make it thicker :)

I've been looking for a beef stew recipe that had good flavor, this Easy Beef Stew is the one. I made some to take to "Soup Day" @ work everyone loved it, they [even men] wanted the recipe!!! I made it the before and @ work I put in the slow coocker for about 6hrs. Real easy to make. I'd make it again. p.s. I didn't have any left over to bring home W/me Thanks KRAFT

I made this in my crock pot. Set on high for 2 hours then low for an additional 1 1/2. The taste was great, but I added two bullion cubes to bumb up the flavor.

My Family LOVED this, even my very picky 2 year old loved it. There was nearly no leftovers and what we did have my 2 year old ate for lunch the next day. The only thing that my family suggested was to add green beans and corn but we are big veggie eaters. I think that I will also make it in the crock pot the next time. It is definatly a MUST TRY!

I added an extra cup of all the veggies, plus an extra 1/2 pound of beef. Had very little leftover, got lots of compliments.

Great Stew, I used the crockpot & cooked it all day. Best Stew Recipe Yet. I used 1 package of Williams Stew Mix & added all the vegatables called for.

Very good! However, next time I will add something to thicken it up a little.
