Creamy Beef Stroganoff

Classic weeknight recipe in 25 minutes? Don’t mind if we do. Strips of sirloin steak mix with mushrooms, noodles and sour cream to make this creamy comfort food classic.

What You Need

lb. beef sirloin steak, cut into strips

medium onion, cut into thin wedges

Tbsp. oil

can (8 oz.) mushroom pieces and stems, undrained

beef bouillon cubes

cups (8 oz.) medium egg noodles, uncooked

container (8 oz.) BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

Make It

BROWN steak with onion in hot oil in large skillet.

STIR in 1-1/2 cups water, mushrooms and liquid, the bouillon cubes and noodles. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover. Simmer 10 to 12 min. or until noodles are tender.

STIR in sour cream; cook an additional 2 min., stirring occasionally.

Serving Suggestion

Try serving with cooked baby carrots and a quick bagged salad tossed with your favorite KRAFT Dressing, such as CATALINA.

Make it Easy

Cut steak into strips when partially frozen for easier handling.

Special Extra

Add 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce with water. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.

A big hit with my boyfriend and myself. We used ground beef instead of steak and it was wonderful. Nice to only have 1 dish to clean, too.

Without a doubt the BEST Stroganoff recipe I have ever had. Everyone loves it and I am always asked for the recipe! YUM!

This is a weekly recipe that me and my family truly enjoy. It's very filling and satisfying. I use consomme' beef soup instead of bouillion cubes and fresh mushrooms instead of canned! Wonderful!!
