I only make this kind of mac & cheese now. My MIL loves this and she doesn't like mac & cheese. And it should not be dry and flavorless if you make it right.

I make this all the time, my husband loves it! I substitute bread crumbs for ritz crackers & add a little more sour cream.

I added 1/2lb. cooked ground turkey to it because my husband likes to have meat with his mac n cheese.

I would definitely leave off the pepper, possibily use paprika instead? Maybe add more sour cream to keep this from getting too dry.

This is SOOO good! The whole family just loved it. I don't think I'll ever make mac n cheese the old way again!
