Waldorf Salad Platter

In my typical fashion, I used what was available in the fridge. Green grapes instead of red. 3 Granny Smith apples and one Fuji. My own coleslaw dressing. No marshmallows. The result was still very good. To quote my 16 year old: Mom, this is awesome!

Made this for Thanksgiving dinner with a new boyfriend's family. A few didn't care for the walnuts, but other than that it was a big hit! I doubled the recipe and it was completely gone by the end of the day.

This recipe is easy to make, has a great presentation and tastes fabulous. Definately a keeper!

Didn't think far enough ahead to toast the nuts and it was OK. This recipe has the coleslaw dressing instead of mayo. What a difference! Will definitely make again.

This is the first time that I made this salad and it was very good.Made it for the Christmas dinner and everyone like it. My daughter said if she know how good it turned out that she would have asked me to make it for her Christmas party that they had.

Now I've had variations of this in the past usually with Miricle Whip(Uggh) And I did not use coleslaw dressing but rather just plain mayo. And I loved it the wife liked the individual parts of it but not mixed together(What can I say, she's wierd!) I made all of these for my wife for Valentines Day dinner, I'm glad these all were quick to make with minimum of mess and all at the same time. (Except she came home late and the Mushroom Turkey(beef)burgers were cold. She loved the Brocolli Carrot salad. The Valentine jigglers was the perfect color for the romantic occassion. It doesn't even matter that we did not eat dessert it was there and she thinks I went through all this trouble for her. I earned bukoo points and it was EASY!
