I've used low and even non-fat ingredients and there's not much difference except caloric - it's wonderful and so easy. I've used all kinds of cookies for the crust, as long as it goes with chocolate, it works. I've also tried this with some almond extract or coffee and it's great. Versatile!

I've been making this cheesecake for years even winning first place at a chocolate festival. The only thing that I do different is I make a sour cream topping and let it bake for the last 10 min. After cooling and removing from the pan I drizzle dark chocolate ganache back and forth across the top. Makes a more beautiful presentation.

This cheesecake was awesome! Very easy to make! I tried it last weekend and am bringing it to the family Thanksgiving Dinner. Even my son who doesn't like cheesecake liked it. Definitely eat small pieces and have a glass of milk with it. It's very rich.

THIS IS THE BEST CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE YOU CAN EVER MAKE! Now that I have your attention. I have made this MANY, MANY times and gotten nothing but RAVES about it. I have even sold it to friends that had tasted it at work! (I fixed one for overtime at my work one Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. It was GONE by 8 am!) The original crust used vanilla wafers with cocoa powder, sugar and butter. I believe the Oreo is my favorite, though. Trust me, If you love chocolate, THIS ONE IS FOR YOU!

This recipe is very rich but awesome. Doesn't really taste like cheese cake has a silky texture.

Made this for my cheesecake-loving in-laws, and they loved it! I added a teaspoon of pure mint extract instead of coffee liqueur, and it tasted just like a girl scout thin mint! I want to try this again using raspberry, irish cream, and orange flavoring. Also, I upped the number of oreos for the crust.
