The kids loved making these. However, the gel did not set in and it made it hard to store them.

I had a hard time finding black gel to decorate with. Plus the gel never really "set" or dried on the cookie. The kids loved them though.

These came out really cute, butthe frosting was difficult to get smooth. I melted white choc chips, worked fine and hardened nicely....Decorator gel isn't the easiest thing to use.....gotta be something easier...I also made them with Snackwell vanilla sandwhich cookies....came out great too!

This was so fun. My kids in child care had a ball dipping the cookies and making the faces. A winner!

Very cute, but if you use the gel decorative frosting, it never hardens so you can't stack them to store which is inconvinient. I packed them out to bring somewhere after being iced and completed for >24 hrs, but all the black gel smudged and they were just a big mess.

Does anyone know if you can make these cookies ahead and freeze them?

It's a cute idea, but the frosting is difficult to spread. I doubled the recipe so it took me a long time!!!!!!
