I thought the egg yolk and cornstarch mixture made the salad taste chalky.

Very refreshing and easy to make. But next time I will leave the marshmallows out, they got a little slimy and a lot more fruit.

I make this fruit salad I enjoy more.Can of fruit cocktail,can mandarin oranges,can of pineapple chunks,miniature marshmellows,flaked coconut & sour cream.Mix together & served chilled.I drain juice from the cans before I mix.

i abolutely love this stuff! i leave out the nuts for personal preference, tho, and in order to make it more of a fruit salad instead of a dessert you can add marchiano cherries, fruit cocktail, bananas, etc. and decrease the amount of sugar.

This is delicious. Peanuts are a good substitue for the almonds. Great flavors of salty and sweet!

Because I added marshmallows to the salad, I didn't want the salad overly sweet, so I cut the sugar in half , and it turned out just right. Also, I prepared mine about 6 hrs before dinner in lieu of the 24 hrs, and it tasted great.
