I made this in the crockpot and it was delicious! The whole family loved it! I seared it in a frying pan on the stove for a minute before I put it in the crockpot to seal the juices in, turned out great!
I thought this pot roast was wonderful. I cut back the A1 to less than 1/4 cup. This is a definite "make again".
SO good! I added a few steps that really brought out more flavor. I stuffed the roast with a few cloves of garlic throughout, and also rubbed kosher salt on the meat before covering and cooking. If you decide to try it, make sure to use kosher salt and not table salt. It added a lot more flavor to the pot roast. I made 2 for a dinner party and there were barely any leftovers.
you know how they say mom's is the best, this tops mom's any day. Only thing i'd do different is maybe cut back the steak sauce mixture by half, unless you really like steak sauce.
So tasty!!!! This is very easy to make and is perfect for Sunday or Saturday! My husband does not like carrots, but will eat them from this recipe!!! The left overs are great as well!!! Enjoy!!!
This was absolutely delicious and perfect for a cold winter Sunday dinner. My husband thought it was the best pot roast I've made in a long time. It was simple to prepare and definitely will become a family favorite.
My mom has been making this recipe for over 40 years without the steak sauce and it is still one of my favorite meals. I have made this meal too and I especially love the cooked carrots. I triple the amount of those just so I can have enough!!! YUMMMM!!!
This was the best tasting Post Roast I've had in a long time. It was also a hit with my family. Thanks
added mushrooms, very good.
Excellent and so were the leftovers.
