I used a different cut of meat. The one in the recipe is just too fatty. I also added whole, white mushrooms and used just the dry onion soup mix in the sauce. My family ate every bit of it. It's perfect for picky eaters!

Made this for my husband. I doubled the gravy and instead of using water I used beef broth to add a little more flavor and it was wonderful!! My husband loved it! This is now one of his favorite meals.

I used a 3lb roast and I still cooked it for 2 hours at 350 like the recipe states. It came out well done and a bit dry and some the veggies were slightly undercooked but the gravy came out wonderful. I used garlic A1 sauce and I seasoned the meat with s&p. My kids & husband loved it. I will give this another go but next time I'll use my crockpot.

Very tender, I would just like a little more juice leftover next time.

I've made this recipe many times for my family. We don't put the potatoes or carrots in it and make whatever side dishes we want to go with it. It is a keeper...and so easy.
