Asparagus with Toasted Walnuts recipe
It takes very little to turn fresh asparagus into an awesome side. Case in point, this dish—made with orange juice, oil, salt, pepper and toasted walnuts.

My husband and I loved this! I added some orange zest to the oj mixture. I also used glazed walnuts (because that was all they had at the store) - it turned out great. We will be having this a lot now that asparagus is in season.

i started with this recipe as a model but made some modifications-- i soaked the asparagus in OJ, then placed in the oven, then added the walnuts, salt, & pepper. the asparagus soaked up the orange flavor and tasted great!

This was good, not great. I was expecting a little more flavor from the orange sauce but the toasted walnuts were excellent.

Have made this several times, sometimes I substitute brussel sprouts. My husband thinks it is great.

When I made this I toasted the walnuts in a skillet instead of in the oven. I didn't want to heat the oven just for that. My husband, Rick, said wow they smell great! Had a hard time keeping him out of the nuts!!He & I enjoyed this recipe and I'll make it again and try browning the asparagus in the hot skillet first & then simmer.

It was good, but it was too orangey for our tastes.
