I would like to try it. It looks delicious. Just that I would like to know what is marinara sauce...? It takes quite some time to cook; but it's really worth it. It's very easy to make and tastes great. Love it :)
This soup was very very good, there are many things you can do with it, I added a few other veggies to make it more hearty, but you can also add pasta or beans, and it would be a great minestrone, my Husband loved it !!!
Instantly when I saw this Photo I wanted to eat it! It reminds me of my home made chicken soup, only with beef instead. I so can't wait to try this soup. It looks really delicious and I feel like having a cup now, curling up on the couch with a good book; by my X-Mas Tree. Will you make me some?:)
This recipe is great. I skipped the step with the vegetable oil and simmered beef stew meat in beef broth for about an hour. Then I just threw in the vegetables and let it cook until they were done. I also used tomato sauce and a dry packet of meat marinade instead of the marinade sauce.
I thought it might be too "Italian" tasting, but it was excellent. I used tomato sauce & marinara spice mix instead of marinara sauce. You want to simmer any added meat for a few hours before adding vegies.
This soup is Superb! Very easy to put together. I omited the vegetable oil and I added Boneless beef short rib pieces cut into bite size pieces and I boiled it in the beef broth. I also added a can of corn, some frozen peas and about a pound to a pound and a quarter of bonless beef short ribs.
*swoons* whoo it's so good on a cold winter or autumn night.
It was a little bit on the greasy side but the aroma and flavour were outstanding. It was easy to put together.
